The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) publishes a searchable directory of licensed early education and care programs in Massachusetts to assist families in finding a provider for their child or children. The EEC licenses child care programs in Massachusetts. There are two types of licensed child care programs:
  • Family Child Care
  • Group & School Age Child Care programs
​If you are looking for an early education and care program for your child, you can  search EEC's directory of licensed child care providers in Massachusetts, by both geographic area and program type. Some licensed programs choose to not be listed in this directory. If a program that you are looking for doesn't appear in your search results, you can call your local EEC office to confirm whether the program is licensed.

​Child Development and Education, Inc. offers subsidized child care to low-income families as well to families involved with the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Housing and Development (DHCD), and Teen parents throughout the state of Massachusetts.

​Early Head Start and Head Start are programs designed for children 3 months to 5 years of age, and pregnant woman.
