Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth remains a private, not-for-profit hospital. We treat all patients, regardless of ability to pay. We proudly serve the communities of Bourne, Carver, Duxbury, Halifax, Kingston, Lakeville, Pembroke, Plympton, Plymouth, Marshfield, Middleboro, Sandwich and Wareham, as well as numerous visitors to our historic area.  BID offers childbirth and other health education classes.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that a child go to the dentist by age 1 or within six months after the first tooth erupts. Primary teeth typically begin growing in around 6 months of age.

In Massachusetts, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are combined into one program called MassHealth. MassHealth members may be able to get doctors visits, prescription drugs, hospital stays, and many other important services.

​South Shore Resource and Advocacy Center (SSRAC) is committed to providing comprehensive services for intimate partner and familial violence, as well as victim services and prevention for survivors and loved ones of impaired driving crashes, and loved ones who have lost someone to homicide. Services are free and confidential to all, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, identity, orientation, religious beliefs, gender, immigration status, and/or income.

​Parental Stress Line: 1-800-632-8188

Parents and caregivers who are experiencing any kinds of problems related to their children or postpartum depression can call the Parental Stress Line for support.  The Parental Stress Line is staffed by volunteer counselors who are sympathetic and nonjudgmental.  The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

​1 in 7 pregnant and new mothers may experience depression or anxiety. New mothers may experience little sleep and new and increasing responsibilities that may cause stress and anxiety, all of which can lead to depression.  If you are experiencing any signs or symptoms, seek help by contacting your healthcare provider or click the image to the left for more information.
